Eyesight Regained (Michael Guillaume)

Regained Sight

Reprinted with kind permission from GARABANDAL JOURNAL July-August 2005

In September of 1967 after a car accident I was taken to the hospital of Colmar in very serious condition with multiple traumas to the head and total loss of vision. My aunt came to visit me and brought me a photograph of Padre Pio intending to place me under his protection. That picture was sent to her by a lady friend who also sent her prayer cards and a medal of Our Lady of Garabandal to which many prodigies had been attributed. I placed the medal around my neck and, to the stupefaction of the doctor, I said: “I can see.” The doctor told me: “I’ve done all I could for your body and head injuries, but to give you back your sight was impossible.”

After leaving the hospital my aunt and I went to Vesoul to visit and thank the lady who had sent the medal and a rosary from Garabandal. Since then the medal, rosary and my patron saint, St. Michael, are my protectors. Thanks to Our Lady, my life returned to normal and I was able to return to work.
