I am writing to share with you the story of my cleaning lady, Jagoda, and the wonderful blessing she received after applying a medal kissed by Our Blessed Mother in Garabandal to her breast.
One day over a year ago, my cleaning lady, Jagoda, came to my house very upset. She told me that her husband had had a heart attack, that her son (whom she adores) moved to Poland, that she and her daughter are barely on speaking terms, so she rarely sees her granddaughter anymore.
The next time I saw her, she was even more upset. A lump had been detected in her breast and she was scheduled for a biopsy. She was having pain in her left arm and had trouble lifting up her arm.
Two weeks later, her doctor advised her that they have to do surgery because of the location of the lump. The surgery was booked for November 10th, 2000. Frightened by the news, Jagoda began waking up in a cold sweat every night around 2:00 a.m., wondering if death was around the corner. Her husband, whose heart condition had since improved, was concerned for Jagoda. He, too, began to weep and was afraid for her. When she told him of her breast lump, he suddenly went down on his knees and started praying every night. Jagoda's lack of sleep, the worry, and her work (Jagoda cleans people's homes) brought her to complete exhaustion.
When Jagoda was in my home, I showed her my medal from Garabandal, that was touched to Our Lady's kiss. I told her how I obtained it and the promise of Mother Mary it carries, that "through Her kiss, Her Son would perform many miracles". She said in her broken English "Nadia, I believe! Can I wear it"? She venerated my medal and begged me to loan it to her for a couple of weeks. I agreed. She pinned it to her bra while she was still in my house. Suddenly, she said that she felt no more pain, she could lift up her arm and she looked very happy. For the two weeks she had my medal, I prayed that it would at least bring her peace so she could get some sleep.
Three weeks later ... Jagoda came over to my house. Her face was radiant. She said that she had been sleeping very well. Her eyes had changed. I saw a beauty in her eyes that I had never seen before. She said to me: "Nadia .... thank you, I wear it every day and night. I never take it off. I sleep good now. I don't know what will happen but I have peace". The pain that Jagoda had was gone. She continued to be able to lift up her arm and has not had any recurrence of her previous problem. She returned the medal to me. As she gave me back my medal, I noticed that it had changed to a gold colour around the chest area of the Blessed Mother. Jagoda had also noticed this. (The original colour is all silver.)
I saw Jagoda again on October 19th, 2000 and she looked even more radiant and happy than before. She told me that she LOVES my baby, Joseph, and has always had a great affection for him, but this time she held him and showered him with kisses. In addition, she told me that she had not been active in the church but has now joined a prayer group in her parish. She now also studies the Bible and enjoys it very much.
On November 3, 2000 I loaned her the medal again for the surgery on November 10th. The lump was removed and sent in for biopsy. She was well. All went well. It is now one year after that date and Jagoda is still pain free, able to move her arm and radiantly happy. Our Lady has helped again. Thank you. All I ask each and every one of you to do, is to pray, not only for Jagoda but for all of us and we will pray for you. God Bless.
